"Pack your things, stop waiting for it to all fall apart"

I took all the time I needed when making For Sale, starting to collect recordings for the project back just before Venn was released, but despite this I was rushed to make it. Since the house was ready to be sold at any moment I felt like I needed to get as much material as possible quickly, which resulted in sloppy recordings, usually the mic was too distant or picked up something else entirely. When I kept coming back to start mixing the album the music that came out wasn't as inviting as I wanted it to be. The drones were too noisy and dissonant, the birds could barely be heard, the intricacies I wanted just weren't there. I got angry about this, and left it a bit longer, focused on a new project entirely that suited a darker and more dissonant style. When that album was released I came back and finished For Sale, but upon coming back I saw the original recordings in a new light, and re-purposed them. Moving Boxes is about the rush I'd felt in this transitional period, and serves more as a collection of demo's and loose ideas.

Digital download of the EP comes with the booklet that's already on For Sale, along with a small bird information booklet I put together by stealing from Michael Morcombe's bird book (credit and cheers to him), a few other documents, one of which will make "Ryan and Finlay" make more sense, and a bonus track "Piano Tape, Oct 2018" which I made shortly after Venn and didn't know what to do with it until now.
